The purpose of this program is to provide individuals with the
freedom of choice for preventing pregnancy. All who desire
birth control are eligible for service.
What is the Cost?
Cost of our services are based on your income, which will be
assessed during your first visit.
Birth Control Options
Abstinence–
Absence of genital
contact that could permit a pregnancy.
Condoms–
Act as a mechanical
barrier to prevent the passage of sperm into the female
reproductive tract.
Pills–
Artificial hormones that must be taken each day. Interfere with
ovulation and thicken cervical mucus so that it is hard for
sperm to enter.
Depo Provera-
Artificial hormones that are injected every three months.
Interfere with ovulation and thicken cervical mucus so that it
is hard for sperm to enter.
IUD
(Intrauterine Device)-
T-shaped device that is inserted into the uterus. Prevents
fertilization.
Natural
Family Planning- Uses
physical signs, symptoms and cycle information to teach a woman
how to recognize when she is fertile and when she may have
intercourse with less risk of pregnancy.
